The Business Data Analyst position is aligned with our internal business teams to support the data set-up, mappings, migration and oversight between our legacy platform and migration to our new Warranty system. This will involve gathering user requirements, data process flows, mappings and user story construction for data migration and mapping. The position will work in a collaborative team environment, with independent duties. The Business Data Analyst role will be the business owner for the data integrity and implementation on our new system the Warranty Information Servicer Hub (WISH), while providing oversight for the data sync to/from our legacy platform. This role will support the data needs for onboarding new clients and migration of existing clients. This position will work with the business functional areas and IT to gather feedback, requirements and support the current data migration and future game plan for migration and support of the data synchronization. In addition, the Business Data Analyst role will provide business leadership in working with the IT reporting team on the migration and set up of reports on the new WISH system. Responsibilities include, but not limited to data analysis, documenting processes, leading business review session to review data structure, consolidation, mappings, address and data anomalies. Work with business owners on the migration, design and set up of reporting needs. This role will work closely with IT on the data set up, clean up, migration and bi-directional sync process and establishing a process to manage data issues/anomalies from the data process during the transition period.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with business stakeholders and IT to analyze, define and document data requirement
and reporting requirements
• Provide the data oversight for our business, by establishing needed checks/balances, identifying business owners for data and establishing SLA’s to address issue

• Manage reporting request from business owners and document requirements.
• Manage the review with key stakeholders on data structure, mappings and data consolidation
• Address open questions on data alignment between our legacy and WISH systems
• Participation in grooming and sprint planning session
• Work with business and IT to identify any business rules necessary to support data sync between the legacy and WISH system
• Work with IT System Analyst on design/development of templates and/or applications to support data administration and input
• Document data flows
• Business contact to address data and/or mapping questions
• Participate in project development and implementation to ensure business requirements are delivered
• Develop plans and participate in user acceptance testing of data requirements and coordinate sign-off from the business stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested

What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree with business, technology, informatics or related field preferred
• 5+ years as a business data analyst role, Reporting or related role
• Expert knowledge of SQL
• Experience with auditing data and identifying data anomalies and root cause
• Analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables
• Experience in Agile methodologies
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, including facilitation/event storming experience
• High sense of ownership and responsibility to all stakeholders to ensure work quality
• Experience with reporting tools (PowerBI, SSRS, etc.) a plus
• Experience writing business requirements in user story format
