Description:The People Analytics & Technology organization is actively seeking AI/ML Research Engineer professionals to provide data-driven insights to answer Lockheed Martin's most critical human capital challenges. The analyst will conduct advanced analytics and modeling on a variety of HR data. If you are you a skilled in this area, this is the right opportunity for you!

The successful candidate will be a member of the AI for HR group at Lockheed Martin. The team is responsible for providing AI/ML solutions for HR professionals and business leaders, interfacing with a broader group of Business Area teams on analytics, reporting and HR systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience designing, training, and deploying machine learning solutions in production
  • Experience in refining and scaling the machine learning life cycle
  • Proficient with software system design principles and coding best practices
  • Experienced in Python and SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who works well with ambiguity
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies and knowledge

Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing and managing containerized services in cloud environments (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry)
  • Demonstrated Natural Language Processing (NLP) experience in production solutions
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building solutions in at least one of the following areas: Named Entity Recognition, Document Classification, Document Summarization, Chatbots, and/or Sentiment Analysis
  • Working knowledge of deep learning architectures (e.g., CNN, RNN, Transformer)
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines that support ETL processes
  • Experience working on collaborative software engineering teams, including open source projects

Pay Rate:

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $119,700 - $199,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligibleAbility to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
