Job Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for monitoring and identifying provider data integrity issues for Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida. In collaboration with Operations team partners, the individual will analyze and then communicate the insight or corrective action found to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will develop processes and reports that clearly communicate and monitor data integrity. The ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions to team members and management is crucial to the success of this Senior Business Intelligence Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for documenting, monitoring and analyzing provider data integrity issues
  • Identify and interpret provider data leading to insight and communicating corrective action needed
  • Research and document data integrity errors, perform data reconciliation, and trend analysis to track actions
  • Perform root cause analysis of provider data issues and give recommendations to correct
  • Develop provider data reports around data integrity issues that monitor and track improvement
  • Participate collaboratively with partners in resolving data integrity issues

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical experience in data analysis
  • Significant experience in SQL and other data systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving and process improvements; ability to give direction and make sound business decisions
  • The ability to travel up to 5%, in order to attend meetings and trainings, as required
  • Job must be performed 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, M-F, typically between 6AM-6PM EST, as dictated by business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in understanding Provider Healthcare related data
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
