Job Description

The Data Science team of ExxonMobil Data & Systems Architecture (EDSA) has an immediate opening for a full-time Machine Learning Engineer. The Data Science team has a mission of developing end-to-end data science solutions to a wide range of topics. The Machine Learning Engineer will work closely with subject-matter-experts (SMEs), data engineers, and data scientists to develop, deploy, and maintain innovative solutions to address business needs. The position will be located in Spring, Texas.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Work in a global environment and interact with a team of architects, data engineers, data scientists and business line SMEs to develop, deploy, automate and maintain production-grade machine learning solutions.
• Design Machine Learning deployment process and implement the most suitable toolset.
• Stay up to date in the field of ML Engineering and mentor others
• Document and present solutions to business partners, stakeholders, peers, etc.

Expected Level of Proficiency

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. 
• Familiar with machine learning training processes and state-of-the-art algorithms, libraries, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
• Knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle: Fundamentals of Architecture, Automated Testing, Separation of Concerns, and Deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL are required. R, Matlab, and C++ are preferred.
• Experience with containers for development and deployment is highly preferred.
• Expertise in cloud computing is highly preferred.
