The Role

Located in the newly formed Analytics Engineering team, Analytics Engineers play a central role in how data moves around the business. They are responsible for expanding, maintaining and optimising our modern data architecture and managing our data platform from design through to end product. You will be focused on giving seamless access to high quality, tested and documented data throughout the organisation.

As an Analytics Engineer you will support end users of our data in all our platforms including Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Fivetran and Hightouch. Our Data Analysts and Data Scientists will receive optimal data delivery architecture consistently throughout ongoing projects. • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery etc.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Development teams to assist with data-related issues
  • Keep our data efficient and consistent at a global level, maintaining our warehouse environments over multiple regions
  • Create and manage tools for our team of analysts and data scientists that assist them in building and optimising our product
  • Document the company’s data environment, constructing physical and logical diagrams (including data dictionaries)

What do we require?

  • Expert SQL skills required
  • Experience modelling data (e.g. dimensional modelling)
  • Experience with ELT tools and components required (we currently use Fivetran)
  • Experience with Analytics Workflow Tool is required (dbt is highly preferred)
  • Experience working with a Cloud Data Warehouse (we work with Snowflake)
  • Familiarity developing/building within a BI tool - Looker is preferable. (Mode, Tableau etc. is acceptable)
  • Familiarity with Python is a bonus
  • Strong analytical skills - analysts will be your customer!

What you'll get in return

We try not to take ourselves too seriously (all the time) so we make sure our office is decked out with a pool table, arcade machine, beer tap, and a couple of office dogs thrown in for good measure.

  • Competitive base salary
  • 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Generous yearly anniversary rewards (including 4 weeks paid sabbatical in year 4)
  • We give every employee a learning budget of £1,000 a year to spend on your own personal development (we want to encourage your growth!)

  • Private healthcare through Vitality
  • Worldwide Travel Insurance through Vitality
  • Six free therapy sessions
  • Opportunities for internal career progression
  • Free breakfast and snacks every day
