Job Description

As a Data Scientist, you will participate in the definition of new analytics capable of providing our customers with the information they need to make the appropriate decisions to support our customers in operating the Internet of Things (IoT). Additionally, you will help find appropriate machine learning/data mining algorithms to answer these questions. Finally, you will be responsible for implementing this in a product and making it available to our customers.

Qualified candidates have a deep understanding of the most common machine learning techniques and their applications. You will also understand the limitations of these algorithms and how to fine-tune or draw from them to achieve similar results on a large scale.

Your Responsibilities:

• Interact directly with customers to design and develop machine learning applications and solutions based on the C3.ai platform
• Become an expert on the C3.ai platform and associated tools to teach, enable and support C3.ai customers in building their own applications.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, and unit tests of applications and solutions.
• Assess technical risks and define migration strategies.

Requirements:

• Degree or Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields.
• Excellent communication, both written and spoken, in both Italian and English.
• Experience in Machine Learning applications (regression and classification, supervised and unsupervised learning).
• Strong mathematical preparation (linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics).
• Experience with scalable ML (MapReduce, streaming)
• Ability to lead a project and work both individually and in a team.
• Brilliant, motivated, constructive attitude, and looking to make a difference.
• Willingness to travel frequently to the customer site in Italy and Europe if necessary.

Favorites:

• Experiences with JavaScript and prototyping languages ??like Python and R. Experience with Java and Scala is a plus.
• Knowledge in electrical engineering and cyber-physical systems is a plus.
• A portfolio of projects (GitHub, papers, etc.) is a plus.
