About Cloud & Network Services

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

We are looking for an expert in machine learning and data science to help us extract value from our data. You will lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training models and deploying them to production.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about artificial intelligence and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

Responsibilities

• Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
• Analyzing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem
• Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world
• Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning
• Data acquisition if more data is needed
• Defining validation strategies
• Defining the preprocessing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset
• Training models and tuning their hyperparameters
• Analyzing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them
• Deploying and monitoring of models in production
• Coaching other team members

Skills

• Proficiency with Python, R, libraries & frameworks for machine learning such as scikit-learn, pandas, numpy etc.
• Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets
• Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture
• Deep knowledge of maths, probability, statistics and algorithms
• Running tests, performing statistical analysis, and interpreting test results.
• Experience in ML Ops like Kubeflow, ML Flow, Seldon Serving, Liminal, GIT, DVC
• Working with Data Sources – Spark, Hive/Hadoop, Kafka
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus
• Experience in ML Usecases for Telco domain is a plus
• Certification like Google Certified Professional Machine Learning engineer is a plus
