Qualcomm Technologies Inc Global CAD team develops tools, flows, and methodologies for different aspects of VLSI design. The position requires a solid background on computer science and combinatorial optimization.
You will work to develop CAD tools, flows, methodologies, and internal application for enabling technology and Implementation flows in advanced technologies nodes (5nm and below). This position is on an interdisciplinary team with experience in hardware, software, and algorithmic fields to face large-scale microelectronic modern challenges with a data-driven mindset.
The innovation is a central aspect of this role; being at the intersection of electronic design, data analytics, and automation generates challenging area of research. Thus, we seek candidates with excellent knowledge on constraint reasoning and mathematical optimization methods together with strong practice of software development: collaborative work, versioning, continuous integration and continuous deployment and testing, and software quality.
Your main responsibility is to design and implement automated reasoning approaches to solve highly challenging problems on VLSI design using techniques from artificial intelligence, constraint programming, SAT, integer programming, and metaheuristics.
