Job Description

In this internship, you will work on a project developing tools, methodologies, and algorithms to improve hardware/software to optimize performance, power, and system responsiveness. You will collaborate with a small team of professionals and have opportunities to influence the vision of future tools to be used by millions of users. As part of this team, you will focus on developing an autotuning-based feedback-directed compiler, interactive GUI and research on system optimization using this tool.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering or Electrical engineering or related technical discipline

6+ months of experience with the following skills:

  •  Solid knowledge of Python including code triage and debugging skills
  • Practical programming experience with real projects (commercial, academic, or open source).
  •  Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems as a development environment.
  • Knowledge of modern CPU architectures.
  • Knowledge of the software development process, optimization techniques, and testing methodologies.

These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a master's or PhD degree, or a bachelor's degree with three years' related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a bachelor's degree and less than three years' experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GUI programming/MVC design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Data Frame processing (Pandas/R/MATLAB) is a plus
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and assembly language is a plus
  • Knowledge of performance optimization is a plus

$52,000.00-$147,000.00 (Hourly Role)
