As part of the Music Insights for Creators Platform Team you will be responsible for creating a well-designed suite of core datasets and tools that enable Music Mission squads to build trustworthy, reliable features more efficiently. From discovery to prototyping to GA, leveraging this data is a best-in-class experience for data practitioners who find that they can innovate faster than ever before.

What you'll do

  • Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Scio, Storm, and Spark.
  • Use best practices in continuous integration and delivery.
  • Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, specialists and partners, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day.
  • Work in cross-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives.

Who you are

  • You know how to work with high-scale heterogeneous data, preferably with distributed systems such as Hadoop, BigTable, and Cassandra.
  • You know how to write distributed, high-scale services in Scala, Java or Python.
  • You are knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
  • You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation.
  • You care about quality and know what it means to ship high quality code.
  • You value team success over personal success.
