Job Description

This is a data scientist position in Lockheed Martin Corporate . The selected individual will and execute analytic projects to address enterprise and efficiency within the process. Individual is capable working independently and with minimal direction on aspects assigned tasks/projects. Plans and conducts work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification standard techniques, , procedures and . Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Individual uses a wide application complex principles, theories and in the specific field.

Supports development projects across multiple functions by developing and maintaining analytic and visualization processes to proactively monitor and report on , exposures, controls and key indicators across various areas the company. The position will reside within the Data Analytic and Information Technology team and will develop data analytic solutions for the function utilizing data from across multiple Business Areas. Duties include: 1) Developing data driven solutions that support all functions, 2) Maintain development processes to proactively monitor and manage solutions that report on , exposures, controls and key indicators across various areas of the company. Candidate must possess the skills necessary to perform exploratory research and analysis to identify patterns in data and uses statistical methods to reject or accept proposed hypotheses about relationships or latent predictive factors discovered through their work to provide business value.

This position is virtual to corporate headquarters but employees must be located at a U.S. based Lockheed Martin facility.

The salary for this position will be adjusted to reflect the salary band for the geographic location the selected employee. This position requires approximately 15% travel.
