This job maintains statistical integrity, adequacy, and accuracy of research projects. Provides sound strategic, statistical and scientific input for project objectives, experimental design, and data analysis to meet project needs and scientific requirements. Assists with preparing presentations, reviewing text and data, and communicating with end-users as instructed by the senior staff.

Education

  • Required - Master's degree in bio statistics, epidemiology, statistics or related field.
  • Work Experience
  • Required – 3 years of experience in bio statistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related medical research field.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications and working knowledge of programming languages, including - R, SAS, SQL, or Python.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong analytical, research, and mathematical skills and working knowledge of clinical and biomedical research.
  • Ability to have reliable transportation to move throughout the system and between facilities.

Job Duties

  • Consults with research investigators throughout research studies.
  • Provides support for investigator protocol writing and publications by contributing to preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents, publications and presentations, including the statistical methods and results sections.
  • Assists senior staff with development of statistical aspects of research protocols and statistical analysis plans.
  • Performs quality checks on data outputs, including analyses and clinical study reports, completed by entry-level staff.
  • Maintains records of relevant materials for all research projects and program evaluations including protocol, raw and analytic data files, statistical software code, and documentation of results/findings.
  • Maintains accuracy of statistical tables, data listings, and report text and ensures consistency between summary tables in the body of reports and the corresponding statistical tables and listings.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
