The Digital Innovation Lead (DIL) lead is responsible for developing and delivering a strategic roadmap of digital innovation for USMA. In addition, the DIOS Lead will work across the existing digital innovation and omnichannel infrastructure as a representative of the USOMAG to share and collaborate on best practices and strategies to deliver value to healthcare professionals and patients. You will be responsible for the identification of current opportunities, the curation of solutions, stakeholder management, and ultimately the implementation of solutions across the omnichannel delivery environment. You will work in a cross-franchise environment to ensure USOMA continues to bring innovative, customer-focused solutions to the oncology space. Working in a matrix environment with other medical network colleagues including Medical Excellence, Digital Steering Committee, Medical Franchises, and Global at our Gaithersburg, MD campus.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable for defining the future-focused digital innovation and omnichannel strategy for US Medical Affairs organization
  • Curate, review, and recommend digital innovations for USOMA to meet their strategic goals
  • Explore and recommend alternative channels for engaging HCPs ?
  • Build a framework and playbook for omnichannel implementation of USMA tactics. 
  • Lead the Digital Steering Committee to build and a blueprint that prioritizes opportunities, based on impact to patient and sound financial principles.
  • Work, cross-franchise, to develop tumor-specific or pan-tumor plans and identify opportunities in the current process where digital solutions can provide longer-term strategic improvements for USMA OBU.
  • Create an innovation pipeline for AZ USOMA to include quarterly innovation day to bring forth relevant technologies and solutions to US MALT and Extended MALT for potential pilot projects, that could ultimately be scaled and build digital capability and knowledge across the organization
  • In collaboration with the MSL field leads, ensure that USMA Medical assets are deployed in a multichannel fashion to ensure that a seamless healthcare professional experience?
  • Accountable for developing a high-performing culture of performance development, accountability inclusion, and diversity.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all AZ internal and external compliance regulations - maintain a good working knowledge of company standards on medicines promotion and supports the Nominated Signatories in ensuring product-related materials and activities for external audiences comply with these standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, digital media or similar fields.
  • 3+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 2+ years experience in a strategy setting role
  • Experience managing external vendors through ideation and implementation
  • Experience of developing and executing digital strategies
  • Strong B2C and B2B marketing and omnichannel experience
  • Experience creating and executing on an innovation plan and asset pipeline
  • Collaborative/matrix management skills with a focus on leading diverse groups (e.g., cultural, geographical, functional) to achieve excellent results in shared goals
  • Strong Financial/Budget Management and Project Management skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Prior work experience within US Medical Affairs function within a pharmaceutical industry
  • Working knowledge of FDA requirements
  • Experience managing large projects in a matrix organization, preferably within a pharmaceutical organization.
  • Demonstrated success as a change agent and tenacity to push and address friction caused by rapid growth and change
