The Digital Team for Biomarkers and Clinical Supply is accountable for the definition, design and implementation of digital platforms supporting the clinical biomarker laboratories, biobanking, kitting and clinical supply and logistics.
  • As a Biomarker and Clinical Supply team member, you will located in Cambridge, MA and report to the Director – Digital Biomarkers. You will work closely with the Digital Clinical and Medical functional line teams and stakeholders in our Clinical Development Organization (CDO). Your responsibility will be to identify, define, and architect various solutions for the Clinical Supply function. In addition, as a member of the cross-functional delivery team, you will support the implementation of the defined solutions focusing on end-user engagement and value realization.
  • The Inventory Clinical Supply and Forecasting (iCSF platform is a transformational digital product that will support highly efficient clinical supply management. Integration with IRT (Interactive Response Technology) and Inventory management as well as analytical and AI tools will enable the organization to perform multiple mRNA global studies efficiently. 
  • As the Sr. Manager, Digital Product Owner for iCSF and inventory management, you will be defining the product vision and roadmap. You will drive the development and release of the product, features, and services to answer our critical business needs. You will lead one or more scrum squads within a larger cross-functional team. By effective communications and inspiration, you are the lead in achieving product vision. You will bring full understanding of your business partners’ needs and develop a priority-based roadmap which you will drive to success.
  • As a design thinking practitioner, you engage in learning conversations with your stakeholders to identify and design impactful and innovative solutions. You are an expert at eliciting user stories and translating those into a digital mindset. You will collaboratively imagine and design innovative solutions in collaboration with our informatics, engineering, data science, AI teams and external partners.
  • You will be interacting with Moderna's engineering and infrastructure groups to ensure your solution design aligns with Moderna's Digital architecture and can integrate seamlessly within Moderna's ecosystem.

Here's What You'll Do:

  • Define and maintain product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the business product owner
  • Serve as a primary liaison between stakeholder and engineering teams; ensure that there is buy-in from stakeholders on all key decisions and translate those into clear instructions and deliverables for the development team
  • Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutions for clinical supply chain
  • Establish an open line of communication with key stakeholders, and those across the Clinical platform to improve your product, resolve issues and anticipate new requirements as the product evolves
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize a product backlog based on the overall product strategy linked to business objectives
  • Define personas and write user stories to populate the product backlog
  • Partner with the UAT teams to ensure testing scope, scripts, and timelines are established and reported accurately on status reports
  • Participate in sprint showcases to review new features and sprint retrospectives to ensure the team is improving with each sprint

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in writing business requirements as a Product Owner / Business Analyst, preferably in a data intensive application
  • Knowledge of and experience in Clinical Supply management, experience in Sample Banking a plus
  • Experience in Agile methodology and practices; experience in managing and prioritizing a product's feature backlog, writing and breaking down a feature into smaller epics and user stories
  • Ability to practice design thinking and human-centered design to drive innovative solutions
  • Deep expertise in clinical supplies processes and systems, and a working understanding of manufacturing workflows.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to use data as an asset to drive operations efficiency and generate novel insights to accelerate processes
  • Expertise in defining and implementing advanced analytics and AI/ML-based solutions in clinical supply management.
  • Adept at collaborating across clinical, supply chain, manufacturing, and data management; bridging the gap and connecting dots between various functions for the execution of clinical supplies management value chain
  • Working knowledge of CSV (Computer System Validation) concepts for GxP applications and robust understanding and practice of change and release management
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to author user stories from conversations with end-users
  • Flexibility and adaptiveness; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment
  • Ability to articulate concepts and ideas for different audiences (end users, functional leaders and digital management)
  • You act with dynamic range, driving strategy and execution at the same time and at every step
  • As a technologist, you know your craft and are fluent in the digital world. You have first-hand knowledge of SaaS, cloud, and AI technologies in a patient-centric environment. 
  • You work independently yet engage proactively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to align and drive solutions forward.
  • You don't hesitate to dive in and work alongside your team. You can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and you can navigate ambiguity and lead a team effectively.
  • You put the team before tasks by collaborating actively with all team members and supporting them. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required. A Master's Degree preferred.
