Job Description
Global Operations' focus is on improving the health of our products and helping people understand how to use them through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions. Within Scaled Ops, we help transform the operations by providing a holistic understanding of strategic problems and influencing business decisions. Global Operations is looking for a people manager to join the Scaled Ops, Technology, Analytics and Reporting. We are looking for someone with data and analytical chops who will lead and nurture a team of data analysts and analytics program managers while helping build and drive strategic priorities for the team. Successful candidates for this role will thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic operations environment while influencing and partnering with teams across Global Operations.
Manager, Scaled Ops Analytics Responsibilities
- Manage a team skilled in data analysis and program management, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development while enabling deeper, more scalable solutions
- Craft and lead team to its vision: drive impact towards goals, and partner with leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results
- Leverage operational and subject matter expertise to act as a thought leader, identify key problems, establish shared goals, and bring clarity with a wide variety of stakeholders such as Operations, Product, Engineering, Data Sciences, Data Engineering, etc
- Lead/influence direction, design, and execution of analytics initiatives for highly ambiguous areas impacting Scaled Ops/Global ops
- Work with data engineering / data science and other analytics team to establish data sources that serve the organization’s needs, identifying and advocating for process improvements and industry best practices
- Effectively communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways to leaders across the globe
- Elevate key themes (backed with strong data/insights) to Engineering/Product teams for investments in developing long term tooling solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS or higher degree in STEM (e.g. Statistics) or related field
- 10+ years of experience in consulting or analytics, ideally in an operations environment
- 3+ years of direct experience managing an analytics team
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), or programming languages such as Python
- Experience leveraging knowledge and influencing across multiple programs and stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Experience communicating with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (including presentations)
- Experience driving strategic as well as operational projects with both operations and data/analytics stakeholders
- Self-starting, intellectually curious, and creative individual comfortable operating with a high degree of ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics) and/or MBA
- Experience thriving and driving change in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment
- Experience working with globally distributed stakeholders/teams
