Job Description
We apply machine learning algorithms to content recommendations. We do not just take ready-made solutions, but also create our own, suitable for work in conditions of high loads and big data. In addition to classical ML, we use deep learning and Bayesian methods. A typical example of our project is a system that learns on the go to determine the prospects of new content and the audience among which it will be most in demand.
We are looking for a specialist who will develop a recommender system with us, look for opportunities for growth and form plans for product development.
You will:
• formulate business problems mathematically;
• use a huge amount of different data;
• create hypotheses for improving the service, implement them and test their performance offline, and if successful, look for ways to implement them;
• conduct A/B tests and analyze the results of experiments.
We are interesting because you will be able to work with a variety of state-of-the-art solutions in the field of recommender systems, for example:
• with advanced matrix factorization methods for extracting information from browsing and search history;
• construction of text embeddings;
• reinforcement learning methods;
• SNA techniques for social graph analysis;
• big data development and analytics on top of the Apache Spark stack;
• product science for insights and generation of product hypotheses;
• analysis of the limits of applicability of models, explanation techniques for understanding the operation of models and their specifics.
We expect that you:
• have excellent mathematical and algorithmic background;
• know the methods of machine learning and know how to use them competently;
• have worked with recommender systems or are interested in them;
• fluent in Python, Java or Scala, as well as any of the dialects of SQL.
It will be a plus if you:
• know how to work with big data frameworks — Spark, Hadoop;
• are familiar with Bayesian methods of machine learning.
