Job Description
We are currently looking for a middle or senior developer who will work on one of these areas. It will be necessary to use the full stack of technologies: BigData, ML, Backend, analytics.
Write to us, even if only one of these points is about you, and you are ready to develop in the rest:
- a high level of programming skills;
- excellent knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
- ability to competently use machine learning algorithms;
- skills in working with Big Data frameworks;
- strong mathematical background.
In our work we use:
- Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and other technologies from the world of Big Data, which we are preparing on Scala;
- PyTorch and other tools for content analysis and work with neural networks;
- Python and a wide stack of libraries for machine learning and analytics tasks;
- own dialect of PHP with extensions for efficient work with systems.
Our principle is to work in small iterations, starting with the simplest solutions. This approach allows you to quickly and efficiently cope with the tasks.
Examples of tasks that our Team faces on a daily basis
Recommender systems:
- what authors will be of interest to the user and how to find a new audience for content creators;
- how to factorize a sparse matrix with billions of values;
- how to cluster and classify users and authors by interests;
- how to recommend friends based on the analysis of a giant social graph and other user data;
- how to cluster vertices in graphs if there are hundreds of millions of them;
- how to ensure novelty and variety of recommendations.
Ranking:
- what is the happiness of users, authors and content platform, how to accurately measure it even with small changes;
- how to build a loss function that most closely matches happiness;
- what factors influence what the user likes and dislikes;
- how to collect data for model training;
- how to find powerful ranking models that can work under heavy load;
- how to correctly test new functionality in a system with a strong network effect.
Infrastructure:
- how to effectively collect, store and process terabytes of data every day, as well as how to scale machine learning for such an amount of information;
- how to quickly learn about problems and their causes;
- how to understand that the recommender system works correctly;
- how to make online ranking faster and more productive.
