About the job

The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers and software infrastructure. The Cloud Marketing team is looking for people who can help us write and tell the story of our customer's journey. Understanding the power of our products and how they impact businesses, you will help share how we provide our customers with the best solutions for innovation. If you’re as excited about building what’s next as we are, Google Cloud is the place for you.

As a Data Analyst on the Google Cloud Digital Experience team, you will be at the forefront of identifying and resolving website issues and opportunities. Our Data Analysts are the analytics experts for the web funnel.

In this role, you will work with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to conduct data-oriented analysis to inform the strategic website direction. You will support the design and implementation of experimental frameworks to harvest test learnings for Google Cloud websites. Your suite of deliverables include analyses that span experimentation (A/B testing, multivariate testing), causal inference, and derive insights about behavior. You will bring data to life through compelling narratives.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

  • Provide advanced analytics and experimentation support, enabling data-driven marketing by applying statistical techniques to solve business problems, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to complete analysis, integrate online data with other channels, and generate business insight across multiple channels.
  • Support the design and implementation of A/B and multivariate hypothesis tests to inform optimization of Google Cloud websites, and leverage causal inference methods as appropriate.
  • Deliver user-friendly and informative dashboards and recurring reports, iterating and prototyping to meet business needs, and monitor and identify ways to improve and streamline reporting.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and technical leadership in data extraction and manipulation, dash-boarding, visualization, and analytical/statistical/data mining techniques.
  • Provide high-level insight and detailed, segmented, investigative analyses to inform site changes and opportunities to increase customer utilization of the web channel.
